Рё кстати играет потрясающе!!...он на пару с Эрикой заставляет чуть не плакать в последнем эпизоде. по крайне мере меня... они узнают причину смерти родителей.. но не буду спойлерить.

в интервью Кудокана на эту тему говорится, что если в дораме есть Нино, Рё и Эрика, чего-то не хватало бы, если бы между ними не было романтики.

Q. What was your impression after you read the novel?
Producer Isoyama gave me the book, "Do you want to read this?". But then I got busy and didn't have the chance to read it immediately. When I've only read 50 pages, Isoyama-san who thought that I've read it all for sure, mentioned who the murderer is... (bitter laugh) Then, I read the book to the end while knowing who the murderer is, so I can focus on the main characters' emotions while reading it. So rather than like reading a mystery detective novel, I was thinking more about how the three siblings faces the whole case.
Q. We heard you have a different edition than the books that are sold at the book stores?
The novel I have, is the one before it was published and sold at the stores, so some things like the cover is totally different. There's no hard cover, I always put it inside my bag and brought it eveyrwhere, so it wore out. (laughs) When I was reading this, I sticked on post-its and drew lines everywhere, but I don't have any intention to get a new one now. When I had discussions together with the other staffs and the producers, they were using the sold books. Actually there are difference in number of pages too. I got stressed about that. (laughs)
When I said, "On page 311...", they often went, "Eh? Which one is that??". However, I wrote memo in many pages, so I'd like to use this till the end. The contents is exactly the same anyway.
Q. This is your first mystery challenge, what do you think of it?
My mindset is totally different than this, so it's like a reconstruction. I have to think of each episode, how much I should reveal the facts, where should I put in the plot which is close to the end. If I don't pay attention to those matters, it'll be hard to think of later... So I really think mystery is hard. I'm also not the type who writes mystery. But for an emotional human drama, I can write that as much as wanted. There are some of the childhood memories that I wrote myself. Well, actually since this is something that has an original story already, I can also say it's easy. (laughs)
Q. How about Kudo's Humorous style?
Just because it's a mystery, I don't think it's interesting if it keeps being serious. So I think it's necessary to expand the three siblings' conversations. I guess I will do it like always... (laughs) But there are also times when the script has gotten too long, and the producers would delete it and say, "This one is not in the original book anyway," (laughs) Well, I can't help it, that's just what I've done. (laughs)
Q. What do you think of Ninomiya-san, Nishikido-san and Toda-san?
I've seen Ninomiya-kun's acting in stageplays, dramas and movies, I think he's a very skillful actor. Because I know what he is capable of, and I know he's an actor that can do serious acting, I wrote some of his serious scenes by including a bit of humor element too, in it.
I've seen Nishikido-kun in varieties but for drama, I've only seen him playing the role as a DV guy. I've never seen the DV scenes though, but I think his facial expressions are good. Taisuke's character is the total opposite with Koichi and he blend in with the society. He also never try to hide the fact that his parents has been murdered, from people. I'd like to make this as something that we can find often in the society and not as a special topic. This story is not just something we can find in mysteries or dramas, but we can find this in newspapers and news television too. Because this kind of story is close to the daily life, he want to be noticed by his surroundings, and I'd like to give this role to Nishikido-kun.
For Toda-san, coz she has to play many roles for the fraud scenes, I made Shizuna's character as a plain girl.
I've changed some parts of the original and I thought it'll be more interesting this way. And when I was listening to the script-reading session of those parts I wrote myself, they've successfully done it, so I think they are very reliable.
Q. What do you want to convey through this drama?
The story is about the three siblings who are searching for the person who has killed their parents. But the title is "Ryusei no Kizuna" (Meteor Bond), I'd like to focus on how they kept on living by helping each other. It'll be bad if I don't put emphasis on this part. Eventually, since murder cases like these has repeatedly occured around us, the message I'd like to convey is NOT that "it is better to live like this", but I hope everyone can be more concious about the fact that cases like this are happening around us. The world surround us is changing, so dramas has to change too.
Q. Lastly, please give a message to the audience!
This is my first time in writing a script for a genuine mystery, so whether or not this has become an expected mystery is... (bitter laughs) But although you'd think "This and that are totally different than the original!", I'm sure while you keep watching it you'll realize it is faithful to the original. The filming is going smooth too. So please, watch it!
