Opera 9.01 is a recommended upgrade.
Changes Since Opera 9.0
User interface
Solved problems with error console popping up unrequested. Console Filter setting in opera.ini has been renamed to Error Console Filter.
Newsfeeds can be renamed again.
Right-click to save images no longer puts the file in the list of transfers.
Fixed problems with setting external source viewer path. Preference field no longer requires quotation marks if containing spaces.
Solved issue where Opera would get focus, but elements would not be activated when clicked while Opera was in background.
Search field now shows dropdown when using the down arrow key.
Using search from right-click menu remembers the last search engine used.
"Find" and "Find next" options no longer grayed out in source viewer "Edit" menu.
Typed-in history now disabled and cleared with visited history in preferences.
Mail, messaging, and newsfeeds
Multiple IMAP backend improvements and bug fixes.
Improved speed in handling filters with large number of messages.

Fixed bug where Java Applet did not load when width and height set to 0.
Fixed problem where some Flash pages would not prompt users missing Flash to install.

HTTP accept language now stated correctly, works with Hotmail and other localized Web services again.

На всякий случай нужно убедиться, чтобы опция opera:config#UserPrefs|PopupButtonHelp была включена.
Если кому интересно то отвечу сам - возможно, для этого необходимо набрать в адресной строке opera:config#UserPrefs|StatusBarAlignment и присвоить значение параметру StatusBarAlignment равное "0". Сохранить изменения. Перезапуск браузера не требуется.abbot сказав(ла):

Чем больше бесплатных сервисов предоставляет компания, тем больше публика задается вопросом - а на чем же они деньги зарабатывают? ВебПланета опубликовала результаты изысканий информации о доходах Оперы:
Opera Software имеет несколько источников дохода. Так, она продает браузер OEM-производителям мобильных устройств (например, той же Motorola), а также пользователям КПК и смартфонов, работающих на базе ОС Symbian и других операционок. Наконец, немалую долю дохода компании составляют прибыли, получаемые от поисковых компаний и продавцов различных товаров в Интернете. Поисковики платят Opera Software за привлечение пользователей на их ресурсы, онлайновые магазины - за совершенные пари помощи браузера покупки. Среди партнеров компании - такие крупные игроки, как Google, Fast, Lycos, InfoSeek, Yahoo, Amazon и eBay.
Наконец, еще один источник - это подписная почтовая служба Opera Web Mail. Пользование ею стоит денег, которыми норвежская компания делится со своим техническим партнером Outblaze.
Там же сообщается, что суммарный годовой доход Opera Software предполагается около 30 миллионов долларов.
